
It was a neat function, and something that's pretty uncommon in RPGs. I mostly don't want to lose the "reset" function that the original had. Then there's games like Dragon Quest 9 and various early Final Fantasies where the was post-game content that really only unlocked after beating the game.įrankly, I don't much care how Wasteland 2 does it.

Maybe you could continue in Pool, but I don't remember. On the other hand, in the SSI games, they pretty much ended. Likewise in Wasteland you could play again, and you could in Elder Scrolls games. Hell, I think you could actually go back to Malefia and kill Tarjan again. However, it can be fun to keep playing afterwards, even if there's not anything that needs to be done.įor instance, in Bard's Tale 3, you could play after the final cutscene. Sure, you can do things before the endgame.
